2023 World Engineering Day
Celebrating 2023 World Engineering Day with Thermo King's 26 New Patents
UNESCO founded World Engineering Day for sustainable development for the first time in 2019 to highlight the achievements of engineers in the modern world and bring a greater public understanding to how engineering and technology impact our lives every day. March 4th was declared an international holiday by the organization in 2020, commemorating the founding day of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations which dates to 1968. Here at Thermo King, we are proud to partner with educators and industry partners to continue raising awareness of engineers' positive contributions to our world and attract talent to the profession.
Our company was born from innovation with the ingenuity of Frederick McKinley Jones, and our talented engineering team continues to shine with new inventions that are transforming our industry and challenging what’s possible. A prime example is in the 26 new patents our innovators from both the Americas and EMEA regions received in 2022, 7 of which are design patents (protects the unique visual qualities of the creation).
This is a huge feat for our employees, our company and the future of innovations in engineering. Congratulations to all Thermo King visionaries whose names are tied to the latest patents.
