Thermo King Arecibo raises more than $6,000 for local pediatric hospital​​

Employees of Thermo King’s manufacturing facility in Arecibo took the challenge to become ‘captains of children’ in April to raise funds for the Pediatric Hospital of Puerto Rico. Through the sales of T-Shirts, the Thermo King team collected approximately $6,220 for the CAP Foundation, a non-profit organization that will use 100 percent of the funds to pay for children undergoing cancer treatments, medical equipment, laboratories and more.

​Thermo King employees came out in full force and with joyful hearts knowing that their generous contribution will help pay for the necessary treatments of radiation or chemotherapy and remove some of the financial burden and stress from the families who are battling cancer with their little ones. The majority of children being treated at the local hospital come from low-income households.

The T-Shirts featured the 2019 CAP Foundation campaign theme, #YOCAP – English translation: #ICAP.

As for our Thermo King Puerto Rico employees, they certainly showed that they were ‘All CAP’ as they united together to proudly donate and wear their T-Shirts to benefit the young cancer patients.
