Dole 'Plus-Sizes' its Reefer Fleet with Energy Efficiency and Power Savings

- More than 2,000 Thermo King MAGNUM PLUS® units added in 2010 -

Dateline, March 4, 2011 — The unit weight, temperature pull-down performance and power savings of Thermo King’s MAGNUM® reefer with scroll compressor technology has enhanced Dole’s green efforts since 2005. To further increase energy efficiencies in the face of high fuel costs, the world’s largest producer of fresh fruit products added 2,245 MAGNUM PLUS® reefers to its fleet last year.

With these new container refrigeration units from Thermo King, a brand of Ingersoll Rand, Dole is running more than 6,000 Thermo King reefers in its fleet today.

Introduced in late 2009, the MAGNUM PLUS is the next generation of innovative scroll reefer technology available from Thermo King.
